Pakistan’s outsourcing sector has continued its strong upward trajectory, earning over $850 million in remote service exports during the first nine months (July–March) of the 2025–26 fiscal year, despite ongoing challenges such as internet connectivity issues and power outages.
According to data from the State Bank of Pakistan, professionals in the computer and IT services sector generated $856 million by the end of the third quarter. This represents a significant increase compared to $567 million during the same period last year, showing growth of nearly 50%, or $289 million.
Industry experts note that this surge reflects Pakistan’s expanding role in the global outsourcing and digital services market. The Pakistan Freelancers Association also highlighted that thousands of skilled individuals are joining the outsourcing workforce each month, supported by government initiatives and programs led by non-governmental organizations.
